Challenge: Plan and Design 5K pop-up runs with celebrity Kevin Hart
Operations Staffing and Event Execution: Managed all operational components, timelines, permitting, venue and race course design, event staffing and set-up; coordinated with Nike agency OBE on celebrity involvement and security constraints
Result: In under 40 days, oversaw 5 of 12 major tour markets – Dallas, Kansas City, Houston, Philadelphia and Los Angeles for 5K runs with 1,500-3,000 runners – Tour was major success with over 12M media impressions
Challenge: Produce run for fans of the reigning Super Bowl Champs, Seattle Seahawks.
Special Event General Management: Oversee permits, course design, staffing, and all financials. Coordinated with NFL, Seahawks, and key stadium personnel.
Result: Over 4,000 Seahawks fans finishing a 5K on the 50-yard line on Labor Day.
Challenge: Implement runner transportation plan for nation’s largest women’s race- 30,000+ participants.
Operations staffing and execution: route planning, capacity and line queuing calculations, motor coach contracting, driver manuals, city ordinance compliance, event staffing, delivery of robust manual to Nike Agency (OBE).
Result: Pre Race, 2500 friends and family transported to on-course cheer zones; Post-race, nearly 20,000 runners transported to downtown San Francisco hotels via 100 50-passenger motor coaches.
Challenge: Coordinate largest ice bucket challenge on dare from Team Gleason Foundation to the Mayor of New Orleans.
Charity Activation: PR coordination with mayor’s office and media, production schedule and PA script, filling of (2) 2,500 gallon portable water troughs via NOFD, delivery of over 2,000 plastic buckets and 15,000 pounds of ice.
Result: 2,000+ people simultaneously dumping buckets of ice water on their heads in support of ALS.
Challenge: Identify new venue and design new 5K running course for long standing Nike High School Cross-Country National Championships
Race Concepts/ Feasibility: location surveys and venue scouting, route designs and measurement, spectator and sponsor constraint planning, submittal of 3 course variations to client and meet director for review.
Result: New national’s XC race course and tradition created at Glendoveer Golf course in Portland Oregon.

Formerly the Director of Special Events at Competitor Group, the largest running event and running media company in the US, Jamie also holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, was a Div I Cross-country runner at University of San Diego and is a former Navy SEAL.
